AMMAN —
Al-Wehdat were crowned CFI Basketball Premier League
champions for the second time in their history, after winning the final series
against the Orthodox club 3–0 on Friday.

Al-Ahli ranked third, Al-Jubeiha fourth, and Kufryopa and
Al-Jalil in fifth and sixth places respectively.
Orthodox club player, Amin Abu Hawwas, won the best scorer
award for the league, in addition to being announced MVP, while
Kufryopa player
Ibrahim Hamati won two awards for best stealer and passer.
Al-Wehdat player Hani Al-Faraj won the award for the best
triple shooter, while the
Orthodox club player Mahmoud Al-Hazayma was chosen as
the best upcoming player, in addition to Al-Jalil player Nabil Abu Sharikh
winning the award for the best-advanced player.
The Jordan Basketball Federation announced this year’s “star
team” which included players Hamati from Kufryopa, Abu Hawass and Zaid Abbas
from the Orthodox club, Ahmed Hamarsha from Al-Ahli, and Muhammad Shaher from
Al-Wehdat.
At the level of individual awards for foreign players,
American James Carrington, the professional Kufryopa player, won two awards, in
addition to being announced the MVP of foreign players. While American Anthony
Miles, a professional with Al-Wehdat, won two awards for best ball pass and
best triple shooter.
