Alayyan said in his interview with
Jordan
News that “Zayd Abbas, Duwairi, and Tucker confirmed their presence for the
second stage, and they are expected to join the national team training on
February 20.”
Regarding his assessment of the national
team’s performance in the
Arab Basketball Championship after four consecutive
losses, he said: “There is no doubt that the performance of the national team
players was unsatisfactory in the first three matches in the championship, but
the Falcons regained some of their spirit in their match against Lebanon. This
gives us the incentive to be optimistic.”
Alayyan called upon the Jordanian public and
all
basketball fans to rally behind the national team in support of their
matches in Lebanon and Indonesia.
“We hope that everyone will stand behind the team to
support it from the court, and, God willing, the players will be up to the
responsibility,” he said.
