The national team had just one victory over Syria (70–50), in return the team suffered three consecutive losses against Lebanon (79–56), Iraq (60–56), and Iran (88-43).

Alayyan said in a statement to Jordan News said: “I am not happy with the results. Our ambition was high, but I think that the championship gave us some indication to allow us and determine the right path. We made many observations, and the entire stage must be re-evaluated with the technical staff.”

“Our most important accomplishments till this day is the reorganization of the university and school league, which will ensure the sustainability of Jordanian basketball and highlight talent. This reorganization allows for a surplus of players, an increase in the base, and a diversity of options for clubs and teams to exist,” he added.

Lebanon and Iran were the teams who won the two qualifying tickets and will be heading to the U16 Asian Cup, which will be held in Qatar from June 12 to 19.
