AMMAN — The
Jordan Basketball Federation has set December 27 as the scheduled launch date for the
Premier CFI Basketball League Championship and December 10 as the launch date
for the Jordan Basketball Cup for men.

The
CFI league endorsed
the decision to hold the championship from December 27 until April 29, with the
participation of six clubs, including Al-Wehdat , Al-Ahli , the Orthodox
club, Al-Jubiha club, Kufryopa club, and Al-Jaleel club.
All the matches will
take place at the Prince Hamzah Hall in Sports City.
According to the
premier league’s first phase schedule, Al-Ahli will start off the campaign
to defend its title by facing the Al-Jaleel at 6pm on Monday, December 27. This
will be followed by a match between Al-Jubiha and Orthodox at 8pm. The first
week will conclude the following day, December 28, with a Kufryopa playing Al-Jubiha
at 6pm.
The second phase of
matches, during which team positions are arranged from 1 to 4, will start on March
7 and conclude on March 25. The semi-finals will begin on March 28 and conclude
on April 11, with the finals will begin on April 15 and end on April 29.
Each participating
team in the league will receive between JD15,000 to JD20,000, based on their
contracts. The team that comes in first place will receive JD40,000, second
place will receive JD25,000, third place will receive JD20,000, and fourth will
receive JD15,000. In addition, any club with foreign players must be paid JD1000,000
per month for the duration of five months.
