AMMAN — Japan continued their strong performance in the second round of the
women’s basketball Asia Cup, beating New Zealand 62-50 (32-31 in the first half), which will run until October 3 at Prince Hamzeh Hall.

South Korea also beat India 107-69 (51-35 in the first half), while China beat Chinese Taipei by 124-50 (59-22 in the first half).
Tournament matches resume on Tuesday with four matches for the third round, where Japan will play South Korea at 10am and New Zealand will play India at 1pm for the group I matches. Group II matches will begin at 4pm with China and Australia.
The group stage matches will conclude with Chinese Taipei playing the Philippines at 7pm.
