The Falcons lost
against Egypt with a score of 45–59 on Tuesday after ending the match at the
third quarter due to Mohab Yasser, Egypt basketball star, suffering a cruciate
ligament.
Thursday’s meeting of
the men’s national basketball team against Uganda is the second in the history
of the two teams, as they have only met once prior in a friendly match on June
18, 2018, when the national team won 91–75.
This is the last friendly
tournament, which is considered within the framework of the intensive
preparations before the Falcons play the matches between Lebanon and Indonesia
on July 1 and July 4, as part of the third window of the Asian qualifiers for
the 2023 World Cup.
