AMMAN — Jordan’s
national basketball team management is awaiting the arrival of Faridi Ibrahim and Hashim Abbas, in preparation for the Falcon’s practices ahead of match with Saudi Arabia in Jeddah and then at home in Amman on November 26 and 29. The two matches are part of the FIFA Asia Cup qualifiers.

The two basketball players are currently playing professionally in the Saudi league.
The Falcons are training twice a day, once in the morning and again in the evening, under the supervision of manager Wesam Al-Sous and his assistant Mohammad Hamdan. The team was recently joined by Sami Bzai from the US, and the practices aim to prepare the players physically.
The
Jordan Basketball Federation is also discussing the possibility of starting a training camp in Turkey, and a decision expected once two friendly matches and more with Turkish clubs are secured.
A source told
Jordan News that the basketball federation has finalized all of the documents needed for the American player, who was granted Jordanian citizenship to represent the Falcons at upcoming events.
The player is 211cm in height and he has played in the American college basketball league and the summer “G-League.” He plays power-forward and center and has excellent scoring skills from inside the arch.
Saudi Arabia’s national team, led by Coach Ali Sanhani and his assistants Khaldoon Mauled and Krikor Krikorian, have begun their training camp in Jeddah, which will include two friendly games with Bahrain, in preparation to play the Falcons at the World Cup.
