AMMAN — The national men’s basketball team is hoping to
avoid defeat in its showdown against Indonesia at 1:30pm on Thursday at the
2020 FIBA Asia Cup in the Indonesian capital Jakarta.
The Falcons lost 60-78 against title holder Australia
on Tuesday. Indonesia trounced Saudi Arabia on the same day, winning 80-54.
Indonesia currently holds first place in the group,
followed by Australia, then Jordan, and. finally, Saudi Arabia.
Jordan is slated to face off against Saudi Arabia at
11am on July 16.
Last week, the Falcons announced brothers Hashem and
Zaid Abbas had joined the national team ahead of the championship.
