AMMAN — The
first
national basketball team, the
Jordan Falcons, will resume their campaign
at the 2022 AFC Asia Cup by facing Chinese Taipei, at 4pm on Monday.

The match will be held at the Istora Stadium in Jakarta,
Indonesia, as part of the quarterfinals qualifiers.
The winner of the match will meet the Japanese national
basketball team, who came first in their respective group (Group C), in the
quarterfinals that begin on Wednesday.
The upcoming match between the Falcons and Chinese
Taipei will be the 19th confrontation on both friendly and competitive levels,
with their first meeting taking place on September 12, 1997.
The last time the two teams faced each other was on July
19th, 2019.
In the 25-year long history between the two sides, the
Jordanian national team has won 11 times compared to seven wins for Chinese
Taipei.
The Jordanian national team is ranked 39th in the world and
eighth in Asia in the latest FIBA world rankings, while the Chinese Taipei team
is ranked 69th in the world and 11th in Asia.
