AMMAN — The
Jordanian women’s basketball season for 2022 came to an end on Sunday
after Shabab Al-Fuhais were crowned the Women’s Premier League champions for
the fourth time in a row and the fourth time in their history.

Fuhais won after the
Orthodox Club withdrew from
final match with five minutes remaining and a score of 79–63 for Fuhais.
Fuhais won the first match in the three-match final
series 83–56, before winning the second 20–0.
The national U18 women’s team came in third place,
after beating Al-Riyadi Aramex team 61–36, which came in fourth and last place.
Orthodox players won the largest number of
individual awards for local players, which were announced by the Basketball
Association. Dana Fadda won the MVP award, national team player Joel Halasa won
Steal Leader, and Fuhais’ Farah Abu Abed won the award for best assists.
At the level of foreign players, Tunisian Houda Hamrouni
from Al-Riyadi Aramex won the award for the best rebounds, and Ukrainian Olesya
Malashenko from the Orthodox Club won the award for the best 3-point shooter,
while the American Monique Reed from Fuhais won the awards, best steals, best
assists, best scorer, and best foreign MVP.
