‘Intense’ efforts for Daweri to play in match against Saudi

AMMAN — The first national basketball team’s management shared that they hope that the professional player Ahmed Al-Daweri — who is currently playing for Turkish club Fenrbahce S.K. — will be able to play alongside the national team in their match with Saudi Arabia on Monday at 5:30pm, at King Abdullah Sport City Stadium, in the Asian qualifiers for the 2023 World Cup.اضافة اعلان

Trusted sources told Jordan News that Daweri’s holds the desire to play with national team in this important match, however the decision on whether to allow him or not is up to the Turkish team’s management.

The Jordanian Basketball Federation is making intense efforts to convince the Turkish team’s coach, Aleksandar Dordevic, to allow Daweri to travel in participate in the match.

A decision on the matter is expected to be announced soon.
