JBF President Mohamed Alayyan, Blink CEO
Zein Malhas, and Vice President of the Jordan Olympic Committee and President of the
Universities Sports Federation Sari Hamdan, were present at the press
conference.
Alayyan expressed his pride in the meaningful and
ongoing relationship between the Sports Federation of Jordanian Universities
and the Basketball Association, which resulted in the signing of an agreement
in which Jordanian universities place their absolute confidence in organizing
the Game Association for the Universities League.
On the sidelines of the press conference, Alayyan
said: “This is a strategic work towards consolidating the championship that we
have been missing for a long time. We thank blink for their belief in this
initiative, which will dedicate the game of basketball as a basic and popular
sport among university students, thus contributing to providing Jordanian clubs
with new players.”
For her part, Malhas expressed her great happiness
at signing the agreement, noting: “We are proud to support the JBF, as this
huge event ... (opens) the door to youth development and the practice of
basketball as a profession away from a hobby.”
