AMMAN — The
administration of the first
national basketball team, the Jordan Falcons,
announced the roster of players who will be partaking in the Asian qualifiers
matches for the 2023 World Cup.

As part of the
third stage, the Falcons are set to play Lebanon on Friday, July 1, at 9pm in
the Stadium Nouhad Naufal Stadium, and Indonesia on July 4 at 3:30pm at the
Istora Senayan hall.
President of the
Jordan Basketball Federation, Mohamed Alayyan, in response to inquiries from Jordan
News, said: “I recently met the delegation of the national team and assured
the players of our full confidence in them to put on a show-worthy
performance.”
He added, that
injuries “haunted” the Flacon’s preparations, “but we will overcome them using
the Falcons’ spirit and accomplish the task.”
“Dar Tucker will
also be fit to join the matches despite minor pain,” noting that the American
naturalized
John Bohannon will not be joining the national team at this stage.
Alayyan called on
fans of the Falcons fans to gather together to support and support the national
team, stressing: “We want everyone to stand behind the Nashma Falcons.
Lebanon’s match is crucial for us, and it may be one of the most important
matches in our history. Our qualification for the World Cup may be decided
early.”
The player roaster, headed
by Wissam Al-Sous, includes Dar Taker, Sami Bzia, Amin Abuhawwas, Freddy
Ibrahim, Ahmed AlHamarsha, Ashraf Al-Hindi, Zaid Abbas, Youssef Abuwazaneh,
Malek Kanaan, Mahmoud Hazaymeh, Ahmed Al-Dwairi, and Mohamed Shaher.
