AMMAN — The Jordanian men’s national basketball team
are slated to face off against their Lebanese counterparts on Thursday at 7pm
at the Prince Hamzah Hall in Sports City for the second round of the Asian
qualifiers for the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

The Falcons are currently in third place in their group with
three points, tied with the Saudi national team who they played twice in the
first round, winning 68-61 and losing 64-72.
Lebanon leads the group with 4 points, having defeated
Indonesia twice.

Alayyan told Jordan News that Thursday’s match is an important one if the
Falcons want to remain on course to qualify for the World Cup.
“We need everyone’s support,” Alayyan said. “The Lebanese
team is difficult and experienced, but I have high confidence in (our)
players.”
