AMMAN — The
International Basketball Federation of Asia (FIBA) executive office has announced the procedures for the 2022 FIBA Asia
Cup, which will take place on Friday, February 18.

16 teams were allocated into four levels based on the latest
FIBA classification, the first level included the following teams: Australia,
Iran, New Zealand, and China, while the second level included Jordan, South
Korea, the Philippines, and Japan.
The third level included Lebanon, China Taipei, Kazakhstan,
and Saudi Arabia, the fourth level included Indonesia, Syria, India, and
Bahrain. Indonesia was given priority in choosing its group, as the host
country for the 2022 Asian Cup.
