According to the
Arab Championship system, should
the Falcons win against Lebanon, then they will have another opportunity of
play against Tunisia at the semi-finals. Their loss, however, would cause them
to leave the championship, which ends on Wednesday, February 16, empty-handed.
The Falcons hope to achieve their first victory at
the Arab Championship when they face Lebanon, after suffering three consecutive
losses in the preliminary round against the UAE (81-85), Tunisia (56-64), and
Libya (69-81).
This participation comes within the framework of the
national team’s preparations for their matches against Lebanon and Indonesia
which will take place on 7:00pm on February 24 and 27 at Prince Hamzah Hall in
Al-Hussein Youth City, as part of the second stage of the Asian qualifiers for
the 2023 World Cup finals.
