AMMAN — Jordan’s national basketball team on Monday defeated Saudi Arabia in the first match of the King Abdullah Cup tournament’s 10th edition, hosted by Amman, recording 91-81 (46-36 in the first halftime).اضافة اعلان

Meanwhile, Egypt came out the winner after its encounter with the Philippines scoring, 73-60 (33-34 in the first half).

The competition was inaugurated by the president of the Jordan Basketball Federation (JBF), Mohamed Alayan, who described the event as “the dearest to our hearts,” wishing good luck to all the participants.

The opening remarks were followed by the oath taking ceremony.

On Tuesday, Saudi Arabia will play the Philippines at 1pm. At 4pm, the Jordan Olympic Team (Team B) will face Egypt, while Suqour Alurdun will play Tunisia at 7pm.
