The Philippine and Egyptian teams will cut the ceremonial ribbon at 4pm, and the opening ceremony will begin at 6pm. Violetta Al-Yousef, a Jordanian singer, will sing Jordan’s national anthem at the ceremony.

National teams A and B will take part in the tournament along with the Tunisian, Philippine, Egyptian, and Saudi Arabian teams based on a system where the first team faces the fourth and the second plays against the third. The winners of both rounds will face each other in the final game.

The King Abdullah II Cup was launched in 2002 by the Jordanian Basketball Federation (JBF) and is held once each year.

Jordan and Lebanon’s national teams have won the cup three times each.
