The match sought to prepare players for the final window of
the 2021
FIBA Asia Cup in Indonesia.
In remarks to Jordan News, national team coach Marwan Matouq
said: “We are very confident in our players, their performance has started to
improve and they are playing with more chemistry, but we are still waiting for
them to complete their mission.”
“We tried 15 players throughout the game and the team’s
offense and defense have both improved, in contrast to their last game, but I
still think they can do better,” Matouq added.
Jordan nabbed the advantage against Qatar in the first
quarter of the game (24-16) then continued to outplay their Qatari counterparts
in the second (21-10), third (14-13) and final (18-10) quarters of the match.
