AMMAN — The national basketball team will head to Turkey on Tuesday morning for a training camp that will last until October 31, as part of the Falcon’s preparations for the second stage of the
Women’s Basketball Asia Cup, which is hosted by Jordan from November 7 to 13.

The delegation is headed by member of the basketball federation’s board of directors and president of the women’s committee, Dina Halasa, together with manager Faisal Nsour, assistant coach Nayef Asfour, fitness instructor Ahmad Sameer, therapist Loaay Al-Marayat, administrator Lama Khalifeh, and 14 players.
The players include Maria Al-Han, Zara Al-Najar, Rasha Abdo, Juwana Hadad, Dana Fidah, Lana Sanaa, Tala Shahatett, Anoud Al-Aasi, Lilyana Abu Jubara, Thikra Shihata, Farah Al-Shayab, Jouile Halasa, and Farah Abu Abed.
A player who was granted Jordanian citizenship will also be attending the camp in Turkey, and is expected to be a distinct addition to the team. Jordan News is refraining from mentioning the player’s name until the official papers are completed.
The team is scheduled to play five friendly matches with Turkish teams, in order to evaluate the level of the players and improve the team’s readiness.
The national team is in group two of the cup, along with Kazakhstan and Indonesia, while group one includes Lebanon, Iran, and Syria.
The Falcons will begin their run by playing Indonesia on November 8, at 7pm, followed by a match with Kazakhstan at the same time the next day.
