AMMAN — The
Orthodox club defeated Al-Ahli 98-74 (first half 51-34), in a match dubbed the “Classico” on Monday at Prince Hamzah Hall, for the ninth round of the
CFI Basketball Premier League.

The Orthodox club currently tops of the scoreboard with 17 points, followed by Al-Ahli in second with 16 points, then
Al-Wehdat third with 13 points — noting that a match against Al-Jalil was postponed from the eighth round, and has not been rescheduled yet — while
Al-Jubiha is currently in fourth place temporarily with 11 points. , followed by
Kufryopa fifth with 10 points, then Al-Jaleel sixth with seven points.
Amin Abu Hawass emerged in the meeting from the Orthodox side, scoring 31 points with seven rebounds, five assists, two steals, and a block shot. While Shaquille Thomas was the most prominent player from Al-Ahli’s side, achieving a double-double by scoring 19 points with 13 rebounds.
On Monday, Wehdat also achieved a victory over Jubiha’s team, with a score of (102-56).
