Aqaba – The first round of the 2025 Jordanian Golf League concluded on Saturday at the Ayla Golf Club in Aqaba, with 41 players and players competing across various categories. اضافة اعلان

The event was organized by the Jordan Golf Federation.

Nasser Shoumali, Vice President of the Golf Federation, and Mansour Kbari, Director of Public Relations at Ayla Oasis Company, presented the winners with their trophies.

In the technical results of the round, Mohamed Al-Rawashdeh won first place in the open category and the overall standings, while Salem Al-Abdallat took second place and Christopher Morfiez placed third.

In the veterans category, Iyad Shahada claimed first place, followed by Joe Fadly in second, and Mohsen Abdali in third.

In the Stableford category, Iyad Shahada placed first, while Bashar Arfa and Taimah Samirat secured second and third, respectively.

In the under-18 youth category, Mohamed Al-Rawashdeh finished first, Salem Al-Abdallat second, and Murad Al-Rawashdeh third.

In the under-18 girls' category, Lilian Mujahid took first place, Miyar Shoumali placed second, and Lammar Shoumali came in third.

In the under-18 youth category at the academy course, Taj Akroosh won first place, while Samuel Zohou and Simon Akroosh took second and third place, respectively.

In the under-10 academy youth category, Sand Al-Shnawani placed first, followed by Jawad Abu Mahfouz in second and William Akroosh in third.

In the team league, the Union Bank team finished in first place, followed by the Gormby Golfers in second, and the Ardh Group team in third.

The 2025 Golf League features a new category called "Veterans," as part of the Federation’s efforts to develop the league in collaboration with Ayla Oasis Development.

The league now includes six categories: Elite, under-18 youth for both boys and girls, academy players (under-18 and under-10), and adults.

In terms of team competition, the league was expanded from 3 rounds in 2024 to 6 rounds in 2025.

Shoumali confirmed the increased competitiveness of the first round, which lasted for three days of competition, showcasing outstanding levels of play that will help build momentum for the upcoming rounds.

Kbari congratulated the players who secured top positions, noting the promising level of play that indicates intense competition in the upcoming rounds.

National Team Coach Amer Radi highlighted the accumulated experience of Jordanian players, emphasizing that the league’s improved organization will contribute to more competitiveness and technical development.

Recently, Ayla Golf Club completed its renovation program, preparing the course with fresh turf, green spaces, and updated fairways in readiness for the 2025 events.

Ayla Golf Club features an 18-hole world-class course designed by renowned designer Greg Norman, covering approximately 800,000 square meters of green space, adhering to sustainable environmental practices, and blending with the unique environment of Ayla’s beaches and natural landscapes.

It also includes a training academy with a 9-hole course and professional coaches from the PGA.
