Amman - The Arab Judo Championship for national teams and clubs is underway at Princess Sumaya Hall in Al-Hussein Youth City, Amman, featuring over 570 athletes from ten Arab countries, including Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iraq, Libya, Morocco, Algeria, Qatar, Palestine, and host country Jordan.

The tournament, which began last Saturday, includes kata competitions across all age groups and for both male and female participants. In the national teams’ events, the competition spans junior and youth categories across various weight classes, while the clubs' events feature matches in boys', girls', and senior divisions for all weights and genders.
Jordan currently leads the medal count in the youth category, securing three gold medals, one silver, and three bronze, followed by Kuwait in second with two golds, one silver, and two bronze medals, and Saudi Arabia in third with one gold, three silvers, and three bronzes.
In the girls' youth category, Syria leads with three gold medals, with Jordan’s team trailing closely in second with one gold.
The junior boys’ category sees Kuwait in the lead with three golds and two silvers, while Jordan ranks second with two golds, four silvers, and four bronze medals. Saudi Arabia follows in third with two golds, two silvers, and one bronze.
In the junior girls’ division, Syria holds the top position with four gold medals and one silver, while Jordan stands in second with two golds and one bronze.
