Amman – The Jordan Basketball Federation has launched the "Jordan Falcons House" project through a creative video showcasing the design of a sports complex for national teams and basketball clubs.اضافة اعلان

This project represents a strategic step toward developing Jordan's basketball infrastructure and enhancing its global sports standing.

The federation has proposed an innovative funding initiative, inviting fans to invest in the construction in exchange for having their names engraved on the building's stones and embroidered on the arena seats.

Additionally, the project seeks an investor to name the arena after their institution.

In a statement, Mohammad Alyan, Chairman of the Interim Committee of the Jordan Basketball Federation, said:
“This project is a milestone in the history of Jordanian basketball.

The 'Jordan Falcons House' is not just a court; it is a home for all stakeholders and provides an ideal environment for players and coaches.

It will strengthen basketball's position in the Kingdom. We are confident that this complex will gain international fame and become a prestigious destination for hosting international matches and major tournaments.” Alyan also praised the positive response from the Greater Amman Municipality.

The video features Federation Secretary-General Engineer Nabil Youssef Abu Ata, presenting the initial plans for the complex.

The unique architectural design is highlighted by a massive sculpture inspired by a falcon’s wings, symbolizing the national team and the Kingdom’s emblem. Abu Ata emphasizes that the time has come to build this state-of-the-art facility equipped with modern amenities and technologies.

The complex will include three parallel courts that can be combined into a multipurpose arena seating 5,000 spectators, addressing the long-standing infrastructure shortages in Jordanian basketball.

As for the community-based funding proposal, Abu Ata stresses that it aims to instill a sense of personal ownership among every fan who invests in the Jordan Falcons House, marking an extraordinary initiative.

Architectural team leader Marah Suleiman explained that the designs are primarily based on the federation’s vision and the guidelines of the International Basketball Federation. The facade’s design follows the Expressionist school of architecture, focusing on creating symbolic forms inspired by identity and culture, incorporating nature-based elements through curved lines and organic shapes.

The 3D modeling opens discussions about the shape, capacity, and facilities of the Jordan Falcons House. Meanwhile, the pioneering funding proposal addresses resource scarcity, promising a prosperous future for Jordanian basketball — a promise the Jordan Basketball Federation and its members have consistently upheld.
