According to the Qatar Fencing Federation's website, the tournament offers total prizes worth approximately $22,000.

The first-place winner will receive $5,000, the runner-up $3,000, and those finishing third and tied third will earn $1,500 each.

The competition will start on Friday with the men’s preliminary rounds and conclude on Sunday evening.

The event will see participation from several top-ranked fencers, including Japan’s Koki Kano, ranked world number one; Hungary’s Gergely Siklósi, ranked second; and Egypt’s Mohamed Elsayed, ranked fourth.

Among women, Italy’s Giulia Rizzi, ranked third; Hungary’s Eszter Muhari, ranked fourth; Korea’s Sera Song, ranked sixth; and Estonia’s Nelli Differt, also ranked sixth, will compete.

Tournament Director Hamad Saad Al-Jassim announced that all facilities at Aspire City are ready to host the event.

The competition will take place across 17 venues, including the main arena for the final match and eight colored courts designated for knockout stages.

He highlighted that the Grand Prix is one of the top three fencing tournaments worldwide, alongside the Hungary Grand Prix and the Colombia Grand Prix.

Points earned in this tournament contribute to the global player rankings.

The championship includes nine rounds across three weapon categories—épée, foil, and sabre—with three rounds held in different countries around the world.
