Olympic squad resumes preparations

AMMAN — The national Olympic boxing team continues to prepare for the 2022 Tokyo event, most recently through a training camp in Yengiabad, Uzbekistan, scheduled to end on May 21.  At the camp, players are undergoing intense physical conditioning with a focus on technique and style — both offensive and defensive, ahead of the Olympics, which are scheduled between July 23 and August 8.  Meanwhile, the Jordan Boxing Federation has decided to cancel Jordan’s appearance at the Asian tournament, scheduled between May 21 and May 30, considering that the team does not have a technical manager as of yet.
