35 participants gear up for the second off-road racing event
Jordan Motorsport has unveiled the list of participants for
the upcoming second round of the Jordan Off-Road Championship, scheduled to
kick off next Friday at Ghamadan Park - Airport Road. A total of 35 drivers
from Jordan and Palestine will compete in this thrilling event. Additionally,
the second round will feature the second stage of the Jordan Rookie
Off-Road Championship, with 10 participants from Palestine, and a separate category for
beginners boasting 4 contestants. Notably, the event will also witness the
participation of a women's team in the race. The competition will commence with
a qualifying round for all participants, followed by a stage for the top 15
results. On Thursday, the participants will undergo a walking training session
on the course.
Jordanian Eagles wrap up training camp in Lithuania
The Jordanian national basketball team, fondly known as the
"
Jordanian Eagles," has successfully concluded their intensive
training camp in Lithuania on Tuesday. The camp was in preparation for the
highly anticipated 19th edition of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, jointly
hosted by the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia from August 25th to September
10th. During the camp, the team engaged in three friendly matches against
Lithuania, currently ranked eighth in the world. The matches resulted in
losses, with scores of 69-107, 75-93, and 75-101.
Karate team shines at Asia Championship
The Jordanian men's national karate team secured a bronze
medal in the "Kumite Team - Men" category, culminating their
participation in the 19th edition of the Asian Senior
Karate Championship held in Malaysia. The team's exceptional performance earned them a total of six
medals, including two golds, one silver, and three bronzes.
Football association to host Women's Club Championship 2023
The Jordan Football Association has taken significant
strides in hosting the inaugural
Women's Club Championship (Jordan and Saudi
Arabia 2023) in Amman from August 23rd to September 1st. The championship will
feature the top four teams from the Jordanian Women's Professional League
2023/2024, determined by their rankings at the conclusion of the second leg.
Additionally, the top four teams from the Saudi Women's Premier League
2022/2023 will participate in this prestigious event. The draw for the
championship is scheduled for August 2nd. This event aims to elevate the
competitive level of women's football in Jordan and foster healthy competition
with their Saudi counterparts, in alignment with the vision of technical
development and growth of women's football in the region.
