Dublin, Ireland — Ireland's hopes of winning a record-equalling 12th home Test
suffered a blow when talismanic captain Johnny Sexton withdrew from the
starting line-up minutes before the kick-off against Australia.
The 37-year-old declared himself fit earlier in the week having
recovered from a dead leg he suffered in the 19-16 win over world champions
South Africa a fortnight ago.
However, after going through with the pre-matchtoss ritual
he was declared unfit to play.
Sexton is replaced at fly-half by 22-year-old Jack Crowley
-- winning only his second cap -- with Peter O'Mahony stepping in as captain.
