Prince Feisal bin Al-Hussein, chairman of the
Board of Directors of Jordan Motorsports, was elected as a member of the Senate
of the
Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) for a four-year term on
Monday.

Prince Feisal was one of four members of the World
Automobile Council who were elected to the Senate in the FIA election which
took place in December.
The senate is a vital body to the FIA and is made up of 16 members
including the president, senate president, and vice-presidents.
The senate deals with issues related to the FIA
administration and general policy that cannot be covered by any of the world
councils, makes decisions regarding the accounts and budget of the federation,
and prepares a draft of financial matters to submit to world councils.
The senate also forms sub-committees concerned with matters
of advertising and promotion in order to present the best recommendations and
proposals.
