AMMAN — The two-day individual time trials
of the Kingdom Open Championship concluded on Saturday. The trials kicked off
on Friday from
Isra University in Amman. More than 70 cyclists took part across
four categories: Men, women, under-23s, and juniors (under 18s).

Local teams Al-Madrasa, Al-Naqa, Al-Ghor,
Petra,
and Turaif took part in the event, alongside Czech and British cyclists. It is
the first time Petra and Turaif have participated in the championship.
The championship, organized by the Jordan
Cycling Federation, is part of the federation’s efforts to revive cycling in
and attract talent to the Kingdom after the suspension of cycling events due to
the COVID-19 pandemic.
