CAPETOWN — On Monday, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa stated that South Africans fighting for Israel could face prosecution at home, labeling Israel’s actions in Gaza as genocide.اضافة اعلان

The foreign ministry expressed "grave concern" about occupation forces, as well as South African nationals, joining or considering joining the IOF to fight in Gaza.

"Such actions could potentially contribute to the violation of international law and the commission of further international crimes, making them liable for prosecution in South Africa," the ministry stated, according to Israeli media sources.

It added that any of its citizens who have enlisted could face the risk of prosecution for international crimes and even be stripped of their citizenship if acquired through naturalization.

The foreign ministry didn’t specify how many South Africans are thought to have enlisted, but the government previously mentioned that the State Security Agency (SSA) was tracking them down.
