AMMAN —
Prime Minister
Bisher Al-Khasawneh on Sunday said that the government "has
immediately responded" to an order by His Majesty King Abdullah II to
enable 27,000 students to access grants and loans from a university students' fund,
according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Khasawneh told a
lower house session that the
government will, in the next two days, "revisit some aspects of capital
expenditures" to secure JD25-30 million needed to finance the University
Student Fund, which targets students in public universities.
Earlier, His Majesty
King Abdullah ordered full access to
the fund by registered students following requests from parliament members.
