AMMAN — Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs Musa Maaytah was appointed Chairman of the Independent Election Commission (IEC). Minister of State for Legal Affairs Wafa Bani Mustafa is the strongest candidate to succeed Maaytah, as minister according to Ammon News. Bani Mustafa served as president of the Arab Coalition of Women Parliamentarians for Violence against Women, chaired the Legal Committee of the National Center for Human Rights, and was a member of the Royal Committee to Modernize the Political System. Minister of State for Legal Affairs Wafa Bani Mustafa is the strongest candidate to succeed Maaytah, as minister according to Ammon News.

Bani Mustafa served as president of the Arab Coalition of Women Parliamentarians for Violence against Women, chaired the Legal Committee of the National Center for Human Rights, and was a member of the Royal Committee to Modernize the Political System.
