AMMAN—Chairman of
Greater Amman Provincial Council, Ahmed Abdallat, on Thursday discussed with
Baghdad Mayorand its Provincial Council Head, Mohammad Jaber Atta, "close"
relations between the two countries and peoples, according to the Jordan News
Agency, Petra.

During the
meeting, discussions also tackled "historic" joint coordination and
cooperation frameworks and mutual issues of concern.
Abdallat
said
Jordanian-Iraqi relations witness "advanced" stages of
coordination and expertise exchange at the highest levels , which reflects
"deep-rooted" relations.
Abdallat
noted Amman and Bagdad provincial councils signed a twinning agreement after
reviewing laws, regulations and services provided by both bodies, which aim to
provide the necessary services and exchange expertise in all joint affairs.
