Production services were provided by Zaman
Productions, and the film received additional assistance from numerous
production partners. The RFC also provided support during filming, a press
statement said.
“The film will once again showcase the iconic
sandstone and breathtaking rock formations in the adaptation of Frank Herbert’s
best-selling novel. Local crews here have been an amazing resource, and the
logistics and production support have been outstanding,” said Herbert Gains,
the executive producer of Physical Productions, Legendary Entertainment.
“We are
delighted that Dune has returned to Jordan. This is proof that the country is a
unique filming destination, with talented local crews that make everything
possible,” said Mohannad Al-Bakri, the managing director of RFC. “In addition
to locations and crew, we provide a whole array of services and incentives. It
is worth mentioning that Dune benefitted from both the cash rebate and the tax
exemption and received considerable support from the army.”
