3 schools evacuated for maintenance

AMMAN—Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education Administrative and Financial Affairs Najwa Al-Qubeilat said that the ministry evacuated three schools due to existence of cracks in them, according to Khaberni News.اضافة اعلان

The ministry has evacuated a rented school and two schools belonging to the ministry for maintenance purposes, as a result of the appearance of cracks, according to Qubeilat.

She pointed out that the Royal Society recommended that structural maintenance should be carried out as a precaution in the three evacuated schools.

Qubeilat said that a JD11 million tender was put forward for the maintenance of schools, and the Ministry of Finance agreed to reuse allocations in the budget of the Ministry of Education worth JD4 million, which were used for maintenance.

She also pointed out 200,000 students transferred from private schools to public schools during the COVID-19 pandemic, which negatively affected the private sector, but this year witnessed transfers from public schools to the private schools, while 25,000 students moved from public schools to private schools.
