New Amman Customs project 93% complete

AMMAN — The Ministry of Public Works and Housing said on Tuesday that 93 percent of the New Amman Customs project (Al-Madhunah), the largest ministry project, was completed, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.اضافة اعلان

During a field tour on Tuesday, Housing Minister Maher Abu Al-Samen inspected various projects the ministry has been working on in Amman and Balqa.

Abu Samen stressed the need to complete Al Madhunah project in accordance with the highest international engineering standards, particularly since “the project will reflect positively on investment in all fields, contribute to stimulating trade with neighboring countries, provide many employment opportunities, and improve the traffic situation in eastern Amman after the transfer of the existing customs centre to the new project site”.

The project covers an area of approximately 88,000sq.m. it includes nine concrete buildings, metal hangars, roads and yards.

Abu Samen directed those concerned to provide him periodically with detailed reports on the progress of the project and to ensure its smooth execution, stressing the need to complete the project in the first quarter of 2023.
