AMMAN — The average monthly wage for
Jordanians in the public and private sectors is JD543, according to data issued
by the
Department of Statistics this week, Amoun News reported.

The figures covered the average monthly wage for the
year 2020; they show that the average income of Jordanians working in the
public sector at the time amounted to JD631 per month, while the average income
of workers in the private sector was JD484.
Data also showed
gender differences in average income: men working in the public and private
sectors had an average income of JD550, while that of women’s was JD498.
The average monthly income of men was JD662 per month in the
public sector and JD502 in the private sector; women working in the public
sector made JD579, and those in the private sector JD431.
