AMMAN —The Ministry of Water and Irrigation has
completed all the technical and administrative procedures for issuing monthly
water bills as of January, ministry spokesperson Omar Salameh confirmed.
Salameh said the
ministry will not impose any additional fees on water, and there will be no
change or increase in prices, according to Jo24.
The step merely
marks a change in the billing mechanism to monthly instead of quarterly, he
said, stressing that water delivery will not be suspended in the event of an
unpaid monthly bill.
