Police arrest two suspected drug dealers

AMMAN — The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) Monday arrested two suspected drug dealers, the Public Security Directorate said in a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra. اضافة اعلان

The suspects resisted arrest and shot at authorities carrying out the task.



An AND team had gathered information and monitored the movements of the suspect drug dealer, the statement added.

A suspect and an accomplice had been transporting "large numbers of narcotic substances" to sell them, it added, noting that the two suspects tried to escape after they were approached by the police.

The police arrested them after one of the suspects was injured during the exchange of fire. He was then rushed to a hospital.

An investigation was opened into the case.
