AMMAN — A cruise ship
carrying around 4,000 European and Arab tourists docked at the southern port of
Aqaba on Monday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

President of the
Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, Nayef Fayez, indicated that 90 cruise ships are expected to dock in
Aqaba this year, stressing the importance of
cruise ship tourism in growing the
Kingdom's tourism industry.
Fayez added that the authority is prepared to
offer the required infrastructure services for both domestic and international
tourism.
He added that a passenger terminal
would open later this month in the old port to simplify and expedite procedures
and allow for visitor entry.
