AMMAN — The University of Jordan
(UJ) has obtained the accreditation of the Ministry of Higher Education in
Saudi Arabia for all its all undergraduate and postgraduate programs, according
to the Saudi ministry's website, a letter sent by the Saudi Cultural Attaché to
the UJ presidency said on Thursday.

UJ President Nathir Obeidat said the
accreditation will support the university's plans to attract more Saudi students
to study at UJ, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Obeidat expressed his thanks to the Saudi
embassy and its cultural attaché in Jordan for their efforts to support higher
education institutions in Jordan, including UJ.
According to the International Student
Affairs Unit of the Ministry of Higher Education, there are approximately
42,000 international students registered at Jordanian public and private
universities, of 109 nationalities.
