Jordan PM participates in WEF meetings in Davos

AMMAN — Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh arrived on Tuesday in the Swiss resort town of Davos to take part in the World Economic Forum (WEF), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.اضافة اعلان

He will join political and economic leaders from across the world as well as ministers, executives of major international institutions, businessmen, and representatives of regional and international organizations at the WEF annual meeting.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister will highlight to international firms and business leaders Jordan's attractive investment environment, and promote entrepreneurship and economic initiatives.

Khasawneh is heading a ministerial delegation, comprising Finance Minister Mohammad Al-Ississ, Environment Minister Muawieh Radaideh, and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan.

On Thursday, Khasawneh will participate in a session on Arab economies along with Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid and representatives of Arab economic, financial, and investment companies and institutions.

He will also meet with political and economic figures and corporate representatives and businessmen participating in the WEF meeting.

This year, the forum is focusing on the global economic situation and challenges, particularly the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine crisis.
