Thunderstorms, hail, and the
formation of floods in valleys and low-lying areas are expected, Jo24 reported.
Western winds will be strong and
gusty at times, reaching speeds of 90km per hour in some areas and causing dust
storms in desert areas.
Residents are advised to be cautious
of reduced horizontal visibility due to fog or dust storms in desert and
coastal areas, and to take precautions on roads in areas that experience
rainfall and low-hanging clouds over mountainous areas.
Snow expectedSnow is expected to fall on high
mountainous areas between now and Wednesday, at elevations up to 1,000m above
sea level or higher, with the possibility of snow in areas that are 900m above
sea level.
A rise in temperatures is expected
on Thursday as the impact of the cold front tapers off, but cold weather will
prevail in most parts of the Kingdom with intermittent rain in the northern and
central regions.
Temperatures in the capital Amman Tuesday
will range between a high of 6°C and a low of 2°C at night, while the port city
of Aqaba will see a fair 19°C, sliding to 9°C at night.
