47.7% of Jordanians consider Israel greatest regional security threat

AMMAN — In a recent public opinion survey of Arab countries, 47.7 percent of Jordanian respondents stated that Israel is the entity that poses the greatest threat to the security of the Arab world, Hala News reported.اضافة اعلان

Israel was followed in the survey by the US, which 20 percent of Jordanians judged to be the greatest source of threat; and Iran, which received the votes of 7.5 percent of Jordanians.

The survey, conducted by the Arab Centerfor Research and Policy Studies, an independent think-tank, evaluated the views of citizens of fourteen Arab countries, Jordan among them, regarding current economic and political situations.
Arab opinionOn a broader scale, Israel also received the most votes from all Arab citizens surveyed, as 37.7 percent considered it the greatest security threat to the region.

This was followed by the US at 21.3 percent and Iran at 7.3 percent.
