host a Palestinian-Israeli political-security meeting on Sunday that will be
attended by representatives from Egypt and the US.

context of efforts made to stop
Israeli unilateral actions, reach a period of calm,
and improve confidence-building measures leading to broader political
engagement between the parties, as reported by Al-Ghad News.
Continuation of intensive effortsThe source added that the meeting is
a continuation of the
intensive efforts carried out by Jordan in coordination
with the Palestinian Authority and other parties to stop unilateral actions and
security escalations that threaten to ignite significant violence.
The meeting will also discuss
security and economic measures to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian
people.
‘First of its kind’The Jordanian source indicated that
the meeting, held in the midst of significant political and security
challenges, is the first of its kind between Palestinians and Israelis with
regional and international participation in years.
The source said that stopping all
unilateral actions is the main starting point for stopping the deterioration,
and it will be among the issues to be discussed in the meeting.
Diplomatic sources confirmed the
