The EVs were introduced
as an
alternative to horses, to increase the “quality” and revenue of Petra’s
tourist services, Amarat said.
Amrat contended that,
despite the fact the EVs are still in their trial period, they have already
brought in revenue that that surpasses their costs. Furthermore, Amrat said,
tourists were “impressed” by this new service, Petra reported.
The vehicles are still
being assessed and their implementation is being studied, according to Petra.
The EVs are expected to
increase the income of 353 people in the Petra tourism sector specializing in
transporting tourists and 2,300 families, according to Amrat.
