Abu Nasser said that there is a significant decline in demand for fuel-powered cars and hybrid vehicles due to their inflated prices; he also said that Chinese vehicles have the highest licensing fees, followed by vehicles imported from South Korea.

Abu Nasser claimed that the absence of hybrid vehicles in global markets, and the increase in customs fees caused the price of fuel-powered cars to increase, which in turn contributed to higher demand for the electric-powered cars. According to Abu Nasser, with electric vehicles citizens spend 80 percent less than with fuel-powered ones.

Abu Nasser said that auto spare parts for EVs imported from all countries are available and that there are specialized centers for examining EVs and repairing them using computerized technology.
