JPMC, Turkish company ink agreement

AMMAN — The Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) and the Turkish Transpet Petroleum and Energy company on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding to study the economic feasibility of establishing a joint factory for phosphoric acid in the Aqaba governorate, with a production capacity of 500 tonnes per day, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

The signing of the memorandum follows the visit of a delegation from Transept to the JPMC; the Turkish company showed interest in creating a joint effective partnership in this area.

JPMC’s CEO Abdul Wahab Rawad and Transpet’s member of the Board of Directors Mustafa Kor signed the memorandum.

Rawad stressed the importance of this partnership in enhancing the company’s position at the local and international levels, while Chairman of the Board of Directors of the JPMC Mohammad Thneibat highlighted the company’s plan to expand manufacturing industries and diversify sources of income as production quantities and exporting to global markets increase.

Meanwhile, Kor expressed the Turkish company’s pride in this partnership, which will strengthen and develop cooperation between public and private sector institutions, and companies in Jordan and Turkey.
