During the opening ceremony of an
exhibition featuring
small business products, Mustafa emphasized the importance
of such events in transitioning families from receiving financial aid to generating
their own.
This, she said, is done through job
creation and economic empowerment for women.
A group of families currently
receiving aid from the National Aid Fund are participating in the exhibition.
The minister also highlighted the
need for
small enterprises to become larger ones in the future, and emphasized
the importance of marketing products globally, seeing as they are of high
quality.
The exhibition, which is being held
in Jordan, is being funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and led by the Danish
Refugee Council, in partnership with the Jordan River Foundation and Mercy
Corps.
Some 130 small businesses from
various governorates in Jordan are participating in the exhibition, which
provides them with a new space to display and sell their products, network with
available economic opportunities, and access and compete in the labor market.
